is that its original fork? looks like it's 28"ish, there's lots of clearance between fork crown and front tire.

Hello,

I'm looking for information/pictures of the pictured Olmo "competition" pursuit 26"/28".

Thanks.

The frame was probably produced after 1983 - 1984, because the decal with colored stripes are of the second half of the eighties.

Take a picture under the bottom bracket shell to see the serial number and find the 'correct year of production.

The competition was top of the line (at least in the road version) and the tubes used were Columbus SL.

Hi,

the number on the BB 59 4051 if I remember correctly, size is 59 obviously .

what would be correct group then, I couldnt find any pictures...

SORRY not for sale, but can get you a tommasini pista or Alan pisat if you like, the Olmo is under restoration..

I dont tend to buy frames that are not my size that is 59/60.

Yes I have a problem with a the fork, should be 26" not 24" / as I thought /

QUESTION - where could a send Olmo 28" fork that I have, to use crown and make correct 26" with new campa forcellini?

Thanks to you all =)

My Olmo Competition (Road not track) have N° 3824 and Olmo S.p.a said me that the frame was welded in 1980 or 1981, so your frame is later. I think it was welded between 1983 and 1986/1987 because the decals have the stripes.

This is a 1982 Olmo Competition:

You can see that the decal on the down tube is different (There are not stripes) and also the italian flag is different (your italian flag is an oval).

If you want to know the exact year of production tries to ask the Olmo S.p.a (http://www.olmo.it/contactus.aspx).

I think the best thing is to know when they have used the decal with the stripes on the down tube.
